Treatments we coordinate

Dental treatments

These are the treatments international patients usually come for. The hospital's dentist confirms what you actually need after examining you.

Single & multiple implants

Replace one or several missing teeth with implants and crowns designed to look and work like natural teeth.

Usually 2 visits · first visit 5–7 days

Full-arch restoration (All-on-4 / All-on-6)

A fixed full set of teeth supported by a small number of implants, for patients missing most or all teeth in a jaw.

Often 2 visits · temporary teeth may be fitted on the first visit if you are suitable

Crowns, veneers & smile design

Restore worn, chipped or discoloured teeth and improve the shape and colour of your smile.

Usually 1 visit · 5–7 days

Root canal, cleaning & general dentistry

Root canal work for infected teeth, repairs for damaged teeth and a thorough cleaning, all done by the hospital's dentist. Easy to add to a checkup trip.

Usually 1 visit · 2–5 days

Planning your trip

How many trips will I need?

This is the most important question for dental travel. Bone needs time to heal around an implant, so most implant treatments are done in two stages.

Two-stage implants

Most common

Visit 15–7 days
Healing at home3–6 months
Visit 25–7 days

Implants are placed on the first visit. You return to have permanent crowns fitted once healing is complete.

Immediate loading (temporary teeth on the first visit)

If the dentist confirms you are suitable

Visit 15–7 days
Home with temporary teeth3–6 months
Visit 25–7 days

You go home after the first visit with fixed temporary teeth, then return for your final set. Suitability depends on bone quality and general health.

Single visit

Crowns, veneers, root canal, cleaning

One visit2–7 days

Most non-implant treatments can be completed in one trip, leaving time to enjoy the city.

Time frames are typical examples. Your dentist will confirm the plan and schedule for your case after reviewing your X-rays and examining you.

Your personal plan

What affects the cost of your treatment

Every mouth is different, so every plan is tailored. Your quotation depends on:

  • The number of teeth to treat and the type of treatment
  • Bone volume, and whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is needed
  • The implant system and crown material you choose
  • The hospital, the dentist's seniority and the number of visits
  • Your hotel, transfers and any travel you add

Your written quotation lists hospital fees and our coordination fee separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before you travel.

Questions

Dental FAQ

I don't have an X-ray. Can I still get an assessment?
Yes. Clear photos of your teeth and a short description help the hospital's dentist give you initial options. A panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan taken in your home country helps the dentist give a more accurate plan; otherwise the hospital takes one when you arrive (this is a hospital fee and is shown in your quotation).
Which implant brands are available?
Hospitals offer a range of international and Chinese implant systems. Your dentist will explain the options and differences for your case, and the brand is stated in your plan.
Can I fly after implant surgery?
Most patients fly home a few days after surgery, once the dentist has checked that you are healing well. Your dentist will confirm when it is safe for you to fly.
What if I have a problem after I return home?
Contact your coordinator any time. We arrange an online consultation with your dentist and, if needed, help you find a local dentist or plan a return visit.
Can I combine dental treatment with a health checkup?
Yes, many patients do. We schedule your checkup around your dental appointments to make the most of your trip.
Can I add some TCM wellness to my dental trip?
Yes. Gentle options such as a TCM consultation, tai chi or a tea experience can fit around your appointments. Your dentist and the TCM physician will advise which therapies are suitable while you heal. See TCM wellness.
